National Soil Analysis Standards & Lab Waste Management Workshop
“From July 6–8, 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nijaporn Na Phatthalung, a faculty member of the Department of Agriculture, participated in a national workshop titled ‘Establishing Cohesive Soil Analysis Standards in Thailand and Study Tour on Laboratory Chemical and Hazardous Waste Management’.”
The event took place at the Rama Gardens Hotel and King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Bang Khun Thian Campus, in Bangkok.
The core objectives of this workshop included:
- Developing and driving network activities for TSI.AN (Thailand Soil Laboratory Network).
- Understanding the international role of GLOSOLAN (Global Soil Laboratory Network).
- Structuring strategic operation plans for soil analysis laboratories.
- Aligning standard soil analysis methodologies on a national scale for the 2025–2026 period.
The valuable knowledge and guidelines obtained from this workshop will be highly beneficial in upgrading and refining the laboratory and soil analysis operations for the Department of Agriculture (Plant Production Innovation major) at Buri Ram Rajabhat University.
